We would like to understand whether our content is being read and which topics interest our community. However, we do not want to collect unnecessary data, create advertising profiles for third parties or sell personal data.

When you visit KIOB
When you access our website, technically necessary connection data is generated. This may include in particular:
- IP address
- time of access
- page visited
- browser and device information
- technical server information
This data is required to deliver the website, to ensure its technical security and to detect errors or improper access.
It is not used for third-party advertising.
Web analytics with Matomo
We use Matomo to understand how KIOB is used.
Matomo is operated by us. Our analytics data is therefore not transferred to an external advertising or analytics provider such as Google Analytics.
We are particularly interested in:
- how often KIOB is visited,
- which pages are viewed,
- which Project Journey entries are read most often,
- how visitors find their way to our website,
- which types of device and browser are used.
This information helps us to develop our content and website further.
Matomo is deliberately configured at KIOB to collect as little data as possible. The analysis serves exclusively for our own website statistics. The resulting data is neither sold for third-party advertising nor passed on for third-party advertising purposes.
“Stay tuned” newsletter
You can voluntarily sign up to be notified about new Project Journey updates.
For this purpose, we generally only collect your email address.
Sign-up takes place via a double opt-in procedure. After signing up, you will first receive a confirmation email. Only once you have confirmed your sign-up will you be added to the newsletter mailing list.
After that, you will only receive messages relating to KIOB and the Project Journey.
Newsletter delivery via Brevo
We use Brevo as our technical service provider for newsletter sign-up, management and delivery.
Brevo processes the data required for sign-up, sending, delivery and unsubscribing on our behalf.
We do not sell your email address. It is not made available to third parties for their own advertising or any other third-party marketing purposes.
Newsletter statistics
We would like to know whether our messages actually arrive and which content our community finds interesting.
We may therefore evaluate statistically:
- whether newsletters are opened,
- whether the links they contain are clicked,
- which content is accessed most frequently overall.
We use this evaluation exclusively to develop KIOB and our communication further.
It is not used for third-party advertising or for selling data.
Unsubscribing from the newsletter
You decide for yourself how long you would like to stay subscribed.
Every newsletter email contains an unsubscribe link. You can use it to unsubscribe at any time, on your own and without giving reasons.
After that, you will no longer receive newsletters from KIOB.
External links
KIOB may contain links to other websites.
If you open such a link, you leave KIOB. The operator of the respective external website is responsible for the processing of data on that website.
Cookies and similar technologies
KIOB does not use third-party advertising trackers to create advertising profiles.
Technically necessary technologies may be used for the technical operation of the website or for data-minimising web analytics.
The specific configuration of our analytics tools follows the principle of only processing the data that we actually need for the respective purpose.
Your rights
Within the scope of applicable data protection law, you may in particular request information about which personal data concerning you is being processed, request its correction or deletion where applicable, or object to its processing.
